On a recent trip to Kauai my wife and I had the good fortune to book a hike that was led by Charlie and his wife Tanya. They are sincerely "Kanaka maoli o ka aina" (True native people of the land). Their "mana'o akamai" (spirit of wisdom) was shared throughout our adventure. In fact, it was as much their knowledge of the land and culture of the Hawaiians that made our experience so memorable. I look forward to seeing Kauai again with Charlie. I'm guarantied to gain further insight of this beautiful land and its people. Charlie truly embodies the spirit of "Aloha!"
